During the summer, the Aosta Valley is full of fairs and festivals which you cannot miss. As of the famous Sant’Orso fair, the Foire d’ été takes place in the month of August in the historic centre of Aosta, 10 minutes away from the accommodation. The centre of Aosta in the summer season is full of events, the local bars and restaurants with their hors oeuvres await you for a simple aperitif or for a lunch or dinner after a relaxing walk, shopping or a day spent doing physical exercise.
Regarding excursions, the Aosta Valley features a hiking trail which stretches for miles. We only need to mention alta via 1 and alta via 2, two trails that can be done on foot. Doing both would allow you to see the whole of the Aosta Valley. Along this route in the month of September, there is a competition dedicated to those who want to try this unique experience, the Tor des Geants.
